This Privacy Policy explains how aliousyucex ("we", "us") handles your data in the Mane mobile application ("the App"). For questions, contact us at [email protected].
1. Data we collect
- Photos you provide — the face/hair photo you capture or select to generate a result.
- Generated images — the AI-edited images produced from your photo.
- Device identifier — a per-device identifier used to track your free-tier usage and prevent abuse before you sign in.
- Account information — if you sign in, the email address and basic profile provided by Google or Apple; an optional username you choose.
- Purchases — records of credit purchases (processed by Apple/Google; we do not receive your card details).
- Support messages — the subject, email and message you send us via in-app support.
- Usage & diagnostics — anonymous usage events and crash reports to improve the App.
2. How we use your data
- To provide the core service: transforming your photo with AI (hair style/color).
- To manage your credit balance, free-tier entitlement, purchases and promotions.
- To prevent fraud and abuse.
- To respond to your support requests.
- To understand usage and improve the App (analytics), and to diagnose crashes.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. AI processing and third-party AI providers
When you tap "CONFIRM", and only then, the photo you selected is sent over an encrypted connection to our third-party AI provider fal.ai, which runs the image-editing model. Depending on your tier, fal.ai routes the request to OpenAI (gpt-image) or xAI (Grok Imagine). These providers process the photo for the sole purpose of returning the edited image to us. Your photo is never sent to advertising or analytics providers, and we never sell it.
Before your first generation, the App asks for your explicit permission to share your photo with these providers. You can decline — in that case no photo is sent — and you can withdraw the permission at any time from Profile → AI photo processing.
4. Face data and face detection (no biometric identification)
The only face data we handle is the photo you choose to capture or upload. We do not create, derive or store faceprints, face embeddings, facial geometry or any other biometric template, and we do not use your photo to identify, recognise or match you against anyone.
The App may run an on-device check that only counts whether a face is present in the selected image, so that we can warn you before a credit is spent. That result is discarded immediately, is never stored, and never leaves your device. Photos and generated images are kept in private storage and are automatically deleted within 30 days (see section 5).
5. Storage and retention
Source and generated images are stored on Cloudflare R2 and are automatically deleted within 30 days. Because storage is temporary, we recommend saving results you want to keep to your device gallery. Account, credit and purchase records are retained as long as your account exists or as required by law.
6. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers that help us run the App:
- fal.ai — AI image processing; it runs the models of OpenAI (gpt-image) and xAI (Grok Imagine) on our behalf.
- Cloudflare R2 — image storage and delivery.
- Apple, Google, RevenueCat — in-app purchases and receipt validation.
- PostHog — product analytics; Sentry — crash reporting.
7. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
8. Your rights (GDPR / KVKK)
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. You can delete your account and associated data from within the App. To exercise your rights, contact [email protected].
9. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.
10. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including private storage buckets and short-lived signed URLs for image access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
11. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
